To put it simply, I am family photographer in Hertfordshire, bordering Essex. I specialise in family photography because I absolutely love having a job that can give you long lasting joy at a time we all know is usually a very hectic season of life (hello, Mum of two children under 4 here).

 

I graduated in 2009 with a First Class Hons BSc in Television Production, so I'm fully adept in the workings of a camera but I soon discovered that my love for the lens lay specifically with family photography.

I think that I fully realised just how much capturing memories matters when I started to live through the ebb and flow of my own family. I am so thankful I have photographs of my bump with my Grandad who didn't quite get to meet my daughter. When I look back on the photo of him touching my bump as my baby kicked, I remember that sound he made 'Ooh!' and a smile dances across my face. I look at images of families that I've photographed when their children were 3 and 5 and then again when they're 6 and 8, time flies but what an honour, to help record their growth in knowledge and limbs! I love being there when first time parents are in this new found land of 'parenthood' and navigating their way around, to be able to capture them in their first steps down the path as a family, that is a huge privilege.
